St. John’s Raises over $2,000.00 for OUT REACH
The sun broke through on October 14 just in time to take a nice “leisurely stroll”, or at least that is what Father Dave thought. Then the St. John’s “Crop Walk Team” arrived and it was clear from the start that we would be setting an aggressive pace. Thor initially led the pack at a blistering speed, he then had his private driver come pick him up at Bridge Street, something about an injured paw. By that time the pace had been set.
It was all in good fun; we had time to chat with each other, chat with people from around the village and in the process raise over $1,650.00 for a very worthy cause.
We also invited the AFRICAN TEAM MINISTRY to display jewelry, wood carvings and other crafts for sale to benefit the charitable work they perform. This past month we had on display for two weeks some wonderful hand made products. You were very generous as we collected over $350.00 for this important outreach ministry. The ministry provides funds for orphans, refugee relief, missions and evangelism in East Africa. They currently have children registered for sponsorships in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Support is sent directly to each Bishop.
